We’re excited to share that Ashley Cooks will be presenting at the CAPLA 2025 Conference: Recognizing Prior Learning in Rural Spaces in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.

Her session, “Bridging the Gap: Leveraging Recognized Prior Learning (RPL) to Foster Sustainable Employment in Rural Communities,” will explore how validating informal skills can drive equitable workforce development in underserved regions.

Ashley will spotlight real-world implementation strategies and community-centered solutions to rethink how we assess, recognize, and honor the skills people already have.
